What We Do...

Clinical Services – Medical exams and evidence collection, assessment of injuries, medication for acute assault victims, medical referrals and follow-up examinations as necessary.

Specialized forensic interviews of victims are provided to law enforcement, local district attorneys and child protective services. Audio and video recording of each interview reduces repetitive victim interviews. Translations services are provided for non-English speaking individuals.

Concerted community outreach educates thousands of teachers, childcare providers, medical professionals, police departments and community members each year about the different types of abuse indicators of abuse, the importance of reporting abuse and the short and long term consequences of failing to report abuse. New prevention programs include Safe Dates - an adolescent dating abuse prevention program and Escape Now an Abuse Prevention & Empowerment program for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities to make effective, self-protective decisions.
